Matthew 11: NOT OUR WAY BUT HIS WAY

 Scripture

“and said to him, “Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?” And Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them. And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.” Matthew 11:3-6

Observation 

✅ God’s Way 

 ⁃ His ways are higher than ours 

 ⁃ we do not define, we obey

✅ God’s Works

 ⁃ His divine authority evident in His actions and ministry

 ⁃ effective witness is seen not by emotions nor merely words but by proof - actions, behavior, changed life

✅ God’s Will

 ⁃ His timing is never late

 ⁃ waiting time is not wasted but season to trust and grow maturely in faith

Application 

It is easy to doubt when things don’t go our way, but remember God is sovereign. 

Ilang beses na ba tayong binangon ng Lord, ilang healing na ba dinanas natin, ilang favors na ba ang natanggap natin, ilang miracles na ba ang naranasan natin? Countless…

We are one of those 

✨ who received sight from being spiritually blind, 

✨ we are now able to walk not in darkness but in light, 

✨ we are being sanctified to be holy like Him, and 

✨ we are no longer dead for He has given us a new life

That itself is a miracle!

Kung ganun, bakit pa tau magda-doubt?

These are divine evidences that truly, our Lord Jesus is the only Messiah!

And so let us 

✝️ Surrender our expectations

✝️ Focus on Jesus not on our emotions

✝️ Trust in His perfect timing

Watch and see how God works, not our way but His way - for He is mightier than our trials, wiser than any human mind, higher than any ways defined by man.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

Prayer

Lord, thank you for reminding us of Your word, Your sovereignty. We at times doubt, get disappointed or frustrated when things don’t go our way. Help us Lord that when our prayers go unanswered, help us remember to trust in Your plan and in Your timing. We may learn that waiting is a blessing, strengthening our faith in You. In Jesus name, amen 🙏
