NOT JUST A NAME….
3 POWERFUL TRUTHS:
❇️ JESUS IS THE PROMISED SAVIOR
“JESUS CHRIST” – not just a name. This is identity.
This is mission. “JESUS “ means Savior.
”CHRIST” means the Anointed One, the Messiah
ROMANS 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us
❇️ JESUS IS THE PROMISED KING
God keep His promises across generations. From Abraham to David to Jesus.
God’s plan never failed.
LUKE 2:11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the LORD.
❇️ JESUS IS THE PROMISE KEEPER
And even when it seemed long…even when heaven felt silent…even when nothing seemed to be happening…
Jesus came.
The promise was not delayed— it was fulfilled exactly in God’s perfect time.
Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ.
NOW, HOW DO WE RESPOND TO THESE POWERFUL TRUTHS?
IF JESUS IS OUR PROMISED SAVIOR
✝️ Receive Him as Savior
Jesus saved us—not because we earned it, but because He loves us.
IF JESUS IS OUR PROMISED KING
✝️ Submit to Him as King
A King is not just admired—He is obeyed.
IF JESUS IS OUR PROMISE KEEPER
✝️ Trust ALL His promises.
God doesn’t break His promises—even when it feels delayed.
If Jesus is your SAVIOR, KING AND PROMISE-KEEPER, it will show. LIVE FOR HIM!
The genealogy we often think is boring….is actually beautiful.
Because behind every name – there is grace.
Behind every generation –there is faithfulness.
And at the center of it all---is JESUS.
💟 REMEMBER THIS:
Your past is not a hindrance.
Your family background is not a hindrance.
Your weaknesses are not a hindrance.
Because God can still write His story…. through you.
And one day, your life will also point to one Name—
The Name above every name ---- JESUS
JESUS
Our Promised Savior,
Our Promised King,
And Our Promise-Keeper
❤️ Let us reflect:
1. Do I truly believe that Jesus is my Savior- or am I still trying to save myself?
2. Is Jesus really the King of my life - or just part of my life?
3. Do I trust God’s promises- even when I don’t see results yet?
4. Am I willing to wait on God’s timing without giving up?
Philippians 2:9-11
9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
NOT JUST A NAME….
BUT THE NAME OF...
