REVELATION 5 : JESUS OUR SLAIN LAMB

 

REVELATION CHAPTER 5

Our Lord Jesus: The Lion of the tribe of Judah.

Our slain Lamb, the only one worthy to open the sealed scroll that contains God's plan for judgment and final redemption.

Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered to open the scroll and loose its seven seals.

Genesis 49:9-10 Lion's cub, Judah; You climbed out of the prey, my son. He bent down, he lay down like a lion, Just like an old lion: who will wake him?

10 The scepter of Judah shall not be taken away, nor the lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; And to him the peoples shall be gathered.

Revelation 5:12-13

12 who said with a loud voice, "The Lamb who was slain is worthy to take power, riches, and wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and praise."

Let us remember our lamb, the perfect sacrifice.

 John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.

Isaiah 53:7 He  was distressed and afflicted, and did not open his mouth: he was led like a lamb to the slaughter; and like a sheep before his shearers, he was dumb, and did not open his mouth.

13 And to all that is created that is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, and to all things that are in them, I have heard it said, To him that sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be praise, and honor, and glory, and power, forever and ever.

Our Lamb is exalted because His death and resurrection brought redemption, making Him the only one worthy to reign and receive worship.

John 5:23-24

23 so that all may honor the Son as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life; and he shall not come into condemnation, but has passed from death unto life.

Revelation 5:14 The four living creatures said, Amen; and the twenty-four elders fell on their faces and worshipped him who lives forever and ever.

Philippians 2:10-11

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow to those in heaven and on earth and under the earth;

11 And let every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Let us reflect.

We must submit to him in total obedience and dependence because he is the only one worthy of all authority and holiness.

Is my life subject to the only worthy, unblemished one in obedience to his word?

Christ's victory was to die on the cross, for the salvation of mankind, to all who repent and confess their sins.

I draw near to Christ in repentance, and confess that He is the only Savior of my life, and can I be certain that my name is written in the book of life?

Worship for the Lord is in all times, places, actions, and thoughts, being living reflections and good servants of the Lord.

Does my life honor the Lord at all times?

REVELACIÓN CAPÍTULO 5.

Nuestro señor Jesús: El León de la tribu de Judá.

Nuestro Cordero inmolado, único digno de abrir el rollo sellado que contiene el plan de Dios para el juicio y la redención final.

Revelación 5:5 Y uno de los ancianos me dijo: No llores. He aquí que el León de la tribu de Judá, la raíz de David, ha vencido para abrir el libro y desatar sus siete sellos.

Génesis 49:9-10 Cachorro de león, Judá; De la presa subiste, hijo mío. Se encorvó, se echó como león, Así como león viejo: ¿quién lo despertará?

10 No será quitado el cetro de Judá, Ni el legislador de entre sus pies, Hasta que venga Siloh; Y a él se congregarán los pueblos.

Revelación 5:12-13

12 que decían a gran voz: El Cordero que fue inmolado es digno de tomar el poder, las riquezas, la sabiduría, la fortaleza, la honra, la gloria y la alabanza. 

Recordemos nuestro cordero, el sacrificio perfecto.

 Juan 1:29 El siguiente día vio Juan a Jesús que venía a él, y dijo: He aquí el Cordero de Dios, que quita el pecado del mundo. 

Isaías 53:7 Angustiado él, y afligido, no abrió su boca; como cordero fue llevado al matadero; y como oveja delante de sus trasquiladores, enmudeció, y no abrió su boca.

13 Y a todo lo creado que está en el cielo, y sobre la tierra, y debajo de la tierra, y en el mar, y a todas las cosas que en ellos hay, oí decir: Al que está sentado en el trono, y al Cordero, sea la alabanza, la honra, la gloria y el poder, por los siglos de los siglos. 

Nuestro Cordero es exaltado porque su muerte y resurrección trajeron redención, lo que lo hace el único digno de reinar y recibir adoración.

Juan 5:23-24

23para que todos honren al Hijo como honran al Padre. El que no honra al Hijo, no honra al Padre que le envió.

24De cierto, de cierto os digo: El que oye mi palabra, y cree al que me envió, tiene vida eterna; y no vendrá a condenación, mas ha pasado de muerte a vida.

Revelación 5:14 Los cuatro seres vivientes decían: Amén; y los veinticuatro ancianos se postraron sobre sus rostros y adoraron al que vive por los siglos de los siglos.

Filipenses 2:10-11

10para que en el nombre de Jesús se doble toda rodilla de los que están en los cielos, y en la tierra, y debajo de la tierra; 

11 y toda lengua confiese que Jesucristo es el Señor, para gloria de Dios Padre.

Reflexionemos.

Debemos someternos a él en obediencia y dependencia total porque él es el único digno de toda autoridad y santidad .

¿Mi vida esta sometida al único digno, sin mancha en obediencia de su palabra?

La victoria de cristo fue morir en la cruz, para salvación de la humanidad, a todo aquel que se arrepienta y confiese sus pecados.

Me acerco a cristo en arrepentimiento, y confieso que él es el único salvador de mi vida ,y puedo tener la certeza de que mi nombre está escrito en el libro de la vida?

La adoración para el señor es en todo tiempo, lugar, acción y pensamiento, siendo reflejo vivo y buenos  siervos del señor.

Mi vida honra al señor en todo tiempo?
