Romans 3
humbles us and lifts us at the same
time. It shows us how deeply we need a Savior—and how fully God has provided
one. This chapter invites us to come to God not with our performance, but with
trust. It reminds us that our failures
are real, but God’s grace is greater; our sin is dark, but Christ’s
righteousness shines brighter.
1.
OUR SITUATION - WE ALL ARE GUILTY (Romans
3:9–12, 23)
· “There is none
righteous… no, not one.”
·
Paul levels the playing field—Jew and Gentile alike are under sin.
·
Sin is not just something we do;
it is a condition we are in.
·
We cannot fix ourselves, cleanse ourselves, or justify ourselves.
Before God, no one has an advantage. We all fall short.
2.
THE SOLUTION –
THE WORK OF CHRIST- HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS (Romans 3:24–26)
· “Being justified freely by His grace…”
·
Jesus becomes the propitiation—the
sacrifice that satisfies God’s justice.
·
God remains just
(He doesn’t ignore sin) and the justifier
(He forgives sinners).
At the cross, mercy and justice meet perfectly.
3.
THE RESPONSE –
FAITH (Romans 3:26–28)
· No room for
boasting—salvation is all grace.
·
Faith becomes our response, not works.
·
The Gospel establishes the Law, because Christ fulfilled it.
Salvation produces humility, gratitude, and obedience.
Let us pray:
Heavenly
Father, we thank You for the truth of Your Word that has spoken to our hearts
today. Thank You for the grace that teaches, corrects, strengthens, and guides
us. As we leave this place, seal every lesson we have learned and let it bear
fruit in our daily walk. Help us live out Your Word with humility, obedience,
and faith. Fill us with Your Spirit, guard our thoughts, and lead us in Your
will. May Your presence go before us, Your love surround us, and Your peace
sustain us. We give You all the glory, Lord. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Amen, in Jesus name. Thank you Jesus🙏
