LUKE 21 - END TIMES OUR RESPONSE

The signs are here, and the time is short our response matter. Let us commit fully to Him

.Commit to discernment-study God’s word daily so you are not led astray by deception. Take advantage of the equipping program of the Church, it will help us a lot in understanding what is truly happening in the world. Only the scripture can open our spiritual eye.

.Commit to faith-trust God even when the world seems chaotic. Even when you don't feel like going to church, GO. even when you cannot see any reason to pray, PRAY.

.Commit to testimony-use  every  trial  challenge, and opportunity to reflect Christ to others. Share and bless people with our testimony - sometimes it take one testimony from us to inspire and change the heart of one soul.

.Commit to endurance –Stand  firm in your  faith until the  very end ,no matter the cost is. Jesus said - only those who endure will be saved.

be on watch , pray always , stand firm- be ready  for the coming of the Son of Man

‘Be always on the watch and pray that you may be able to stand before the Son of  Man”-Luke 21:36

LUKE 20 INSINCERE SEEKERS

LUKE 20

In this chapter we witnessed the wisdom of the Lord Jesus when He dealt with the religious leaders who questioned His authority.

V1 – Now it happened…. This phrase shows that Jesus didn’t look for a debate, He was there to teach the people but the religious leaders questioned Him and He answered them with great wisdom and power.

Instead of answering them He questioned them back with – the baptism of John the Baptist – was it from heaven or men? V3

     - this question explained who He is

-This question exposed the hypocrisy  of the religious leaders

If they said Yes, John the Baptist’s authority is from heaven then it will confirm that the proclamation of John about Jesus as the Messiah is from heaven and His authority is from heaven.

Jesus knew that the religious leaders questioned Him not to know the truth but to find fault of Jesus, so He didn’t give them the answer.

Jesus loves and have compassion to sincere seekers of truth, that is why when we seek Him we always find Him – He knows our heart.

May we not be the modern religious leaders who are in the church not to seek the truth but to find faults of our leaders, members and for them to feel good in the church. Let us be true seekers of truth that even the truth hurts we continue seeking to be more like Christ.

Amen.
