COME!

Our reading for today is from Revelations 6,

John, one of the apostles of Christ and the author of the book of Revelations. Who's preserved by God to be the witness of the things to come. God revealed to Him the prophecy of the coming of Jesus.

Revelations 4:1-2

After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” 2 At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.

''COME''

This word is repeated 4 times in this chapter. We, who already received the truth about the gospel of Christ and believed, are not blinded at all of the things to come.  Just like John, we are called to COME and to have a preview of the signs to take place.

While we're eagerly waiting for our bridegroom (Jesus) let us remember to also ''COME'' as emphasized in this chapter.

COME:

- Closer to Him and abide in His love forever

1 John 4:16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

- Obey and proclaim His words that were revealed to you. The gospel that saved you.

Mark 13:10 – “And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.”

- Make disciples and multiply

Matthew 28:19 – “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in   the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..”

- Endure persecutions and persevere in faith

James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Let us pray,

Dear God,

We praise you and honor you. Thank you for your words today and for opening our eyes to things to come. Please prepare us more and more and use us mightily in your kingdom. Help us to endure every suffering in this world. At times, when we feel like giving up, Let us stand and continue in the faith we have started in you. We declare victory over our lives in the name of Jesus. Amen.
